Westminster Debate

Our thanks go to Jim Shannon MP for leading a debate in Westminster Hall on medical cannabis attended by two representatives from Glass Pharms. We heard powerful stories of success where medical cannabis has changed people’s lives and associated distress caused to patients from the financial burden and prejudice from poorly briefed police forces.

Minister of State for Health, Karin Smyth MP responded with a prepared statement on behalf of the government. The government response focused on the need for more research rather than on improving availability for medicines with well understood safety.
