Ground has been broken on the Glass Pharms cultivation facility in the South of England that is the first in the World to be Carbon Negative by design

The advanced 2.5 hectare greenhouse facility will be powered by an anaerobic digestion plant. The plant turns food waste into electricity, with waste hot water from the plant being used for both heating and cooling in the greenhouse. Glass Pharms’ facility will be accredited to verify its status as carbon neutral (although it will likely exceed these requirements).

The site for the build has been levelled and secured and made ready for the beginning of the glasshouse construction, which will commence shortly.
